Chabela O’Riley Alba is a Mexican-American retired expat living in La Paz, Baja California, Mexico. She is a volunteer librarian at the Marina Neptunia. It’s November and the current buzz is the upcoming Baja Film Festival.
Days before the festival, they are struck with a most bizarre murder. A man was harpooned with a flagpole bearing the flag of Albania. The police had a suspect, but he was on the run and connected to the festival.
Nonetheless, Chabela and best friends Judy and Ruby were going anyway. Armed with pepper spray, a stun gun, and stiletto heels, they were ready for anything. As the case unfolds, they learn about connections from Albania all the way to Canada.
